Despite autumn being just around the corner, the sun was shining and it was a beautiful start to the day as I made my way to Craiglands to meet Fiona and the bridal party for pre wedding prep. I had a little déjà vu as I made my way to the hotel as this was the venue that kick started my wedding photography career, assisting my photography tutor Steve in 2011. It was lovely to be back!
With it being Bonfire Night tonight, I figured what better time than to share Becky and Ste’s sparkler filled wedding photos from their big day at Left Bank Leeds than today?
I was so excited to shoot their wedding, set in the Grade II listed former church in Headingley, Leeds. The building has such history dating back over 100 years, it ceased being a place of worship in 1995, is now a multidisciplinary arts venue and has been a setting for weddings since 2010.
When you choose either my standard or deluxe wedding packages, I include a photo book in the price. I believe when it comes to photography, there is no better way to appreciate an image than in actual printed form. To pick up a book, to touch it, to have that tangible form in front of you is the ultimate keepsake of your big day.
Your digital photos will sit happily in the ‘cloud’ or on your computer’s hard drive, but seeing them in the flesh is something else. Everyone has thousands of digital images of images stored on their phones and in memory cards these days. It’s the norm. But how many of those ever get seen again after they have been taken?
Springtime pre-wedding shoot
Tomorrow is the wedding of these two lovelies, Teresa and Des at Woodhall Hall Hotel and Spa in Wetherby and I can’t wait! Ahead of their big day, I thought I would share with you a few photos from their engagement shoot.
We met up back in April for their pre-wedding shoot on The Stray in Harrogate under the gorgeous cherry blossoms. I cannot wait to capture their day tomorrow, so I’m going to keep things brief to ensure I’m on top form for the morning. Whoop!
