Clifton Park and Museum, Rotherham | Sarah and Nick’s wedding

I am starting to look back at a few weddings from the summer now things are a little quieter than it has been in recent weeks. As the nights draw in and we all start to think about putting the heating on, I will be bringing you a selection of weddings from late August and September to brighten up the darker nights.

First up, is Sarah and Nick’s big day. Their’s was my first of two weddings over the warmest August bank holiday in history (apparently). To be fair, the weather was beautiful!

I joined Sarah in the morning where she was getting ready at a friend’s home. It was a busy household and everyone was in an excited mood. They had even decorated the living room with balloons and banners for the bride-to-be.

Once Sarah’s dad arrived, I made my move and headed down to Clifton Park and Museum ahead of the bridal party arriving.

Clifton Park Museum a Grade II Georgian House and was once the home to the Walker family, whose portraits adorn the walls of the ceremony room. It was a gorgeous building.

It was a lovely ceremony of which Sarah and Nick’s little girl just wanted to join in with. Bless her, she took centre stage as mummy and daddy said their I do’s.

After the ceremony, we headed out to the gorgeous gardens to enjoy a little sunshine and get some group photographs. Sarah, Nick and I headed off to a little waterfall within the gardens for a short while for some portrait shots. A lovely hidden gem!

After photos we headed over to the Maltby Miner’s Welfare Club for the reception for the wedding breakfast, followed by entertainment from wedding band, The Supreme Collective. I left after their first set to a busy dance floor, and let the happy couple, and their friends and family, enjoy the rest of the evening.
