One gorgeous sunny day last June, I popped over to Nottinghamshire for Sophie and Steven’s wedding at the beautiful historic country house Hodsock Priory in Blyth, Worksop.

My day started at bridal prep with Sophie at her parents home just up the road from St Helen’s Church where the couple were getting married.
After the ceremony we all headed over to Hodsock Priory for the wedding reception which started with a drinks reception on the terrace where guests were treated to the fab voice of Sean Stevens. The historical venue is currently owned by the ninth generation of the same family and is now a stunning wedding venue in 800 acres of countryside. As it was June we had plenty of light and no rain forecast, we decided it would be a better idea to wait until after the wedding breakfast before we explored the grounds properly for the couples’ photoshoot. It was a nice time of day to do it and Sophie and Steven didn’t feel rushed.
Later it was onto the dance floor for the first dance and party with the music stylings of Renegades of Rock. After about half an hour after the first dance I let the happy couple enjoy the rest of their evening without the worry of getting papped!
