What an absolutely stunning part of the world Burnsall is. Set in Wharfedale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the venue for Emma and Jon’s wedding was the stunning 16th century country house The Red Lion, which is a set on the bank of the River Wharfe.
With this week’s weather turning the country into a scene more commonly found on the front of a Christmas card, I thought it would be a good opportunity to look back at Nicola and Scott’s festive wedding – complete with snow – last December at Weetwood Hall Estate in Leeds.
Last year I put together a frequently asked questions section of my website. It does what it says on the tin to be honest, a list of wedding photography questions (and my answers) that I am most frequently asked.
You know when you get one of those bright, sunny but cold autumnal days? Well Rachael and Josh’s wedding last November at St. Mary’s Church in Garforth, followed by reception at Thorner Victory Hall was just one of those days.
Rachael and Josh booked me a few months prior to their wedding. They said they were having a very relaxed kind of day. They had booked the church for fairly late in the afternoon, opting for a 3pm ceremony. The plan was after the church they would go to the reception venue and straight into the night do. I do’t think they had planned on speeches initially, but decided to do so in the end.
