I cannot quite believe how quickly this year’s main wedding season has wizzed by. It seems only a short time ago I was heading out to my first wedding of 2019 back in February, but here we are already in September. So as August drew to a close, I popped over to Harrogate for Charlotte and Marco’s wedding at the beautiful The Old Swan.
My latest FAQ topic is all about engagement photo shoots, or pre-wedding shoots if you’d prefer. Engagement shoots are photo shoots that take place in the weeks or months ahead of your wedding. It’s a nice opportunity for you to get used to being in front of the camera, and to get an idea of how you will feel on the day.
You will not believe how excited, and I’ll be honest, a little nervous I was when Lois and Colin asked if I could be their wedding photographer for their destination wedding over in Tuscany. You see, I have known Lois for years as we went to university together (back when I had unfortunate hair). It is such an honour when asked by a friend to shoot their wedding, but I always feel a little anxious I guess – because let’s face it, if I mess up – that’s it. Friendship over!
What an absolutely stunning part of the world Burnsall is. Set in Wharfedale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the venue for Emma and Jon’s wedding was the stunning 16th century country house The Red Lion, which is a set on the bank of the River Wharfe.
