The Engine Shed, Wetherby | Laura and Dale’s wedding

Today I am looking back at the lovely Laura and Dale’s wedding last September at one of my familiar venues, converted Grade II listed building – The Engine Shed in Wetherby.

The engagement

I always ask how my couples got engaged. Dale popped the question via a photo book he had made for Laura the day before her birthday at an airport hotel. It was the day before the were due to fly to Cyprus and he presented her with a photo book. The last page was a photo of Dale, wearing a suit and was down on one knee.

The wedding theme

Laura and Dale were going to Japan for their honeymoon shortly after their wedding, so there were a few Japanese hints throughout their theme, plus their gorgeous pug was a big part of the day too – taking the role of best man. They even had a pug cake!

Laura is a very talented tattoo artist, and the couple met at a tattoo convention. Being very creative, many of the details of the wedding Laura designed and made herself. They picked The Engine Shed as their venue because they liked the uniqueness of the place, not somewhere for your average wedding.

As always, I’ll let my photos tell the story of their wedding day:
